The munstergroup Insurance U12 Girls Gaelic Football competition took place in Kilmihil on Thursday 14th May and the U14 competition took place on a misty evening on Thursday 21st May in Kilmurry Ibrickane GAA Grounds. Well done to Kilmihil (U12) and Kilmurry Ibrickane (U14) who represent Clare in the Munsters in July.
The Under 10 munstergroup Clare Community Games Gaelic Football county finals took place on Saturday 18 Apr at the Kilmurry Ibrickane, GAA grounds. On a beautiful day in Pairc Naomh Mhuire Quilty it wasn't just the weather that set tempetures soaring it was the u10 Munstergroup Insurance Community Games Gaelic Football Finals that had everyone talking.All participants, managers and supporters had a really enjoyable morning. The St Francis Credit Union Clare Community Games U-10 Mixed Gaelic Football Competitions were held on Sun 17th April in Cooraclare. In the quarter finals Cooraclare/Cree defeated Shannon while Kilmurry Ibrickane beat Doora/Barefield White, Doora/Barefield Maroon had a bye to semi final where they defeated Kilmihil. Cooraclare/Cree defeated Kilmurry Ibrickane in the 2nd semi final. The final was a very exciting game between Cooraclare/Cree and Doora/Barefield Maroon in which Cooraclare/Cree were victorious and now go forward to represent Clare in the Munster Finals.
The St Francis Credit Union Clare Community Games Gaelic Football mixed U10 competitions were held on Monday 17th April in fantastic facilities in Coorclare GAA field. It was coordinated by Veroics Finucane assisted by Mairead McNamara & Marie O'Gorman with referees Noel Morrissey & Joe Garry. All ten teams participated which made for a great competition. The local team Cooraclare/Cree were the winners from Kilmurry Ibricane on a score 5 – 4 to 2 – 4. Cooraclare/Cree now go forward to represent Clare in the Munster finals in July in U.L.
The St Francis Credit Union Clare Community Games U12 girls Gaelic Football competitions took place on Sunday 30th April in Clooney GAA pitch. It was coordinatd by Kieran Harvey & Martha Deegan. The standard was high with Doora Barefield coming out as winners and the honour to represent Clare in the Munster Finals in U.L. on 1st July.
