The St Francis Credit Union Clare Community Games organisation participates in most of the activities available in the Community Games calendar. The events are scheduled so that local Area and County competitions take placed in time for the Munster finals which normally take place in July. Winning teams then go on to take part in the August National Festival weekend which currently takes place in the University of Limerick campus.

Community Games is an independent voluntary organisation which operates through the local community to provide an opportunity for young people (6 to 16 years) to experience a wide range of sporting and cultural activities before concentrating and specialising in those most suitable and attractive to them.
