The Golden Vale Milk Clare Community Games Camogie finals were held in brilliant sunshine at St Flannan's College on 22nd May. Many thanks to co-ordinator Mary Lenihan and the two referees, both members of the Clare senior panel: Aisling Hannon (Clooney) and Aine McNamara (Sixmilebridge). It was a closely fought contest and the girls from Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry came out winners and will go forward to represent Clare in the Munster finals in Limerick on 10th July.
The Golden Vale Milk Clare Community Games U14 Camogie finals took place in St Flannan's, Ennis on Sunday 15th May. Clarecastle/Ballyea beat Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry in the final, with Doora/Barefield winning out over Newmarket On Fergus in the 3rd/4th play off.
The Munstergroup Clare Community Games Camogie competition took place on Saturday, 18 May, in St Flannan's, Ennis. The event was run off smoothly by co-ordinator Caroline O'Connell and referee Aaron Hogg. Well done to Derg who took Gold and will represent Clare in the Munsters in Tralee on 29th June.

The munstergroup Clare Community Games County Camogie competition took place on Saturday 28th and Saturday 4th April in St. Flannans and Inch/Connolly/Kilmaley Community Games Camogie created history when they won Gold medals in this year's Community Games Final. Inch/Connolly/Kilmaley over came Derg in the Semi-Final the previous week and qualifed for the first ever final against Kilkishen/The Mills/Oatfield.
The St Francis Credit Union Clare Community Games U14 Camogie competition takes place on Saturday 26th March in Newmarket-on-Fergus commencing at 10am. Teams should arrive 15 mins before start time.
The St Francis Credit Union Clare Community Games U14 Camogie competitions were held on Saturday 15th April in Clarecastle GAA grounds. It was coordinated by Ann McMahon of Inch/Kilmaley/Connolly with referees Aine Ni Cormac from Wolftones Shannon & Shane O'Loughlin of Ruan. Derg came out the winners on the day and now go forward to represent Clare in the Munster Finals in U.L. in July.
In the Quarter finals – Crusheen/Ballinruan/Tubber proved much too strong for Clarecastle/Ballyea winning 2 – 1 to 0 – 0, Quin Clooney had a bye, Derg beat Inch/Kilmaley/Connolly 4 – 0 to 0 – 5, Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry were beaten by Doora/Barefield 2 – 3 to 2 – 0.
In the semi finals Crusheen/Ballinruan/Tubber beat Quin/Clooney 1 – 3 to 0 – 0 and Derg beat Doora/Barefield 2 – 3 to 2 – 0
The final between Derg & Crusheen/Ballinruan/Tubber was a very close encounter with the Derg side edgeing ahead in the end coming away with the gold medals on a score of 4 – 2 to 3 – 1. The playoff for the bronze medals was won by Doora/Barefield over near neighbours Quin/Clooney on a score 1 – 3 to 1 – 0.
The St Francis Credit Union Clare Community Games Camogie competition took place on Sat 28th April in Clooney GAA Club. Many thanks to coordinator Orla Considine, to all the volunteers and officials who assisted on the day, to the Clooney GAA club for use of their pitch and to all those areas/clubs who participated in a fair and sporting manner.
The St Francis Credit Union Clare Community Games Camogie Finals were held on Saturday 1st June in Newmarket-on-Fergus. It was coordinated by Marie Louise Kaiser and Denise Brooks. In the quarter final SIxmilebridge/Kilmurry and Quin/Clooney had a very close encounter they couldn’t be separated at full time, still inseparatable after extra time with the Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry girls winning by the narrowest of margins after frees on a score 3 – 5 to 3 – 4. Broadford/Kilbane/Kilmore beat Whitegate Mountshannon 0 – 5 to 1 – 0. Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry beat Broadford/Kilbane/Kilmore in semi and Derg beat Inch/ Kilmaley/Connolly. In the final Derg proved much too strong for the Sixmilebridge side winning out by a large margin. Derg now go forward to represent Clare in the Munster finals which will be held on Sat 6th July in Tralee.
