There was a great turnout for the St. Francis Credit Union Clare Community Games U13 Cross Country and U10 Relay events in Lees Road, Ennis, on Saturday 14th Jan. Many thanks to Margaret McCarthy and to all the other volunteers who helped out on the day. Full results are listed below and the top 5 boys and girls will form the U13 County team for the National Finals in the National Sports Campus, Blanchardstown, on 6th May 2017.
The Golden Vale Milk Clare Community Games Cross-country U-10 4x250m relays and U-13 1,200m were held at the Lees Road Sports Complex on Sat 11th March.
In total, 33 boys and 27 girls took part in the competitions, which were co-ordinated by Margaret McCarthy. The national finals will take place in Athlone on the weekend of May 27-29.
The MUNSTERGROUP Clare Community Games U-13 1200m Cross Country competitions for boys & girls were held on Sat 2nd Mar in Lees Rd complex Ennis. It was co-ordinated by Margaret McCarthy. A very large number of children from 16 areas across the County took part in beautiful sunshine. The first five boys & five girls will make up the county team to participate in the National Finals in Athlone in May. There was also a team event in each category. The U-10 Cross Country Relays for boys & girls were also held on Sat in Lees Rd. The standard in all these competitions was extremely high.

It was co ordinated by Margaret & Vincent McCarthy. Over seventy children from across the county took part. The first five boys & five girls make up the county team to represent Clare in the National finals in Athlone in August. The first five Boys & five girls will represent Clare in the National Finals in May which this year will be held in U.L. Well done to the seventy plus children who participated on what was a cold but dry morning. It was coordinated by Margaret & Vincent McCarthy with help from James Sexton and some community games volunteers. Nine areas will be represented in the county team.

The first five Boys & five girls will represent Clare in the National Finals in May which this year will once again be held in U.L. Well done to the 170+ plus children who participated. It was coordinated by Margaret & Vincent McCarthy with help from James Sexton and the youth and adult community games volunteers.
The St Francis Credit Union Clare Community Games held the first of their events for the season on Saturday 1st Feb in O’Sullivan Park, Lees Road the trials for boys and girls to select the mixed team in the U13 Cross Country. The first five boys and five girls will now go forward to represent Clare in the National Finals in U.L. in May. Thirty three girls and twenty nine boys participated for the coveted places. These were very highly contested races. There was team events also. All the events on the day were coordinated by Margaret and Vincent McCarthy.
The Mixed Distance Relays and Cross Country (1200m) events will take place on the 16th October, with the closing date for entries on the ORS the 3rd October. Please note the following details for Cross Country and Mixed Relays:

U13/O11 Boys and Girls. Multiple entries per area. Top 5 go through to the National finals in UL on Sat 27th November, County prize for top 4 teams (teams of 4 per area qualify for team prizes).
