Community Games Calendar of Events for 2022.

The next County Meeting takes place on Tuesday 6th Sept @ 8:30pm. This meeting will be in Treacy's West County Hotel and there will also be a Google Meet link circulated to areas in advance.

Girls Gaelic Football 2022

The St Francis Credit Union Clare Community Games Gaelic Football competitions for U12 and U14 Girls took place on Saturday 9th July in glorious sunshine in Lissycasey GAA Pitch. It was coordinated by Abi Healy with Referees Robert Harte, John O’Connell and Flan O’Reilly for the U12 and Pat Byrne O’Connell and Frank Culloton for the U14. Many thanks to everyone who helped to run off these competitions and also Lissycasey GAA for the use of their facilities. Both Ballynacally/Lissycasey winners in U12 and U14 now go forward to represent Clare in the Munster finals to be held in September.

Under 12 Girls

In the U12 competition six teams participated. In the Quarter Finals Ballynacally/Lissycasey Blue beat Cooraclare/Cree and Doonbeg beat Ballynacally/Lissycasey Yellow. Both Quin/Clooney and Doora/Barefield had a bye.
In the semi finals Doonbeg beat Quin/Clooney while Ballynacally/Lissycasey Blue beat Doora/Barefield. In the playoff Doora/Barefiled beat Quin/Clooney for 3rd place. The final was contested by Ballynacally/Lissycasey and Doonbeg with the local side coming out as winners.

  4. Doora/Barefield – Sarah Brody, Maeve Carden, Aisling Casey, Aoibhin Daly, Clara Flood, Kyla Freney, Abigail Grenham, Isabelle Kelleher, Aoife Moore, Elbha O’Gara, Isabelle O’Doherty, Sophie O’Sullivan, Melissa Rowland, Ayda Ryan, Grace Naughton.
 Under 14 Girls

In the Gaelic Football U14 Girls competition four teams participated. What it lacked in quantity it made up for in quality. In the semi finals Doora/Barefield beat Ballynacally/ Lissycasey Blue while Ballynacally/Lissycasey Yellow beat Quin/Clooney. In the play off Quin/Clooney defeated Ballynacally/Lissycasey Blue. The final was eagerly contested with Ballynacally/Lissycasey Yellow winning the honour to go to Munster finals.
